Why do you think the author chose this to to write about?
Why I think the author chose this topic to write about is because it is a very instersing topic, its and very important topic and it is a very serious topic. Slavery is not a very funny topic and its nothing to joke about, lots of African Americans when through slavery for a very long time. In this book Laurie Halse Anderson explained the topic very well and very very deltailed. I love how she based the story on a African American slave and slaves and how they livied their lifes and how they are treated. The life how out someones elses point of veiw, their feelings, their life-style and how everyone in that city/ town thinks they are. The topic of slavery is told in many different ways, nice, mean or just plain evil the storys and journeys told from genoration to genoration. I think she chose this topic because there are so many stories based off of it. She could go from any of those topics nice, mean or evil. I think Laurie Halse Anderson chose a very good topic to write about. She made a very good choice about what to write about. Its a great book and a great story to read.
