Topic: Dress-Coding
Dear Birmingham Covington School,
Hello, my name is Kylee H and I have a problem.
Sometimes kids get dress-coded for no reason at all. In the spring and summertime girls wear shorts and tank tops and most of the time they get dress-coded for no reason at all. One time somebody I know got dress-coded for wearing a tank top that was three fingers thick and if girls wear spaghetti straps they get dress-coded but if they wear a three finger thick tank top they are fine. She got dress-coded for "showing her shoulders" and had wear borrowed clothes.
People wear what they wear to express themselves like jean shorts they are happy they could be short but it expresses their feelings and it makes them happy. As long as they are not short shorts I am ok withany type of summer wear. If the shorts are as short as your underwear that is not ok.
