Don't you ever want to fit in and be different? Sometime people are judged for who they are and where they are from. In the book Divergent by Veronica Roth, Tris wants to fit in but she realizes that she falls for Four insted of fitting in.

In Divergent, Tris lives in a society after a war where they rhought the best idea was to split people in to Factions. There are 5 factions Candor, the faction that tells the truth, Erudite, the smart ones, Amity, the farmers, Dauntless, the brave and Abnegation, the selfless. When Tris chooses Dauntless the other transfers are giving Tris a hard time. Peter a transfer from Candor is not what Candor was for him he lied, and he always started fights. He is always on Tris's case. On Page 56, when Tris is going to jump in to the Pit in Dauntless she throws her jacket at Peter. "Ooh. Scandalous! A Stiff's flashing some skin!"- Peter. But Tris jumps anyways. When she lans in the net d the un-likely meeting of Tris and Four starts it all. It starts the love and relationship between them.

When Tris chooses Dauntless she wants to fit in but everyone make fun of her because she is from Abnegation and she is a "stiff" because that is what her factions nickname is. But all Tris wants to do is fit in and be the best she can in Dauntless. When people go to new places they try to get out of thier nicknames and try to become different people without their nicknames. When Tris goes to Dauntless she wants to be know as Tris not a "stiff" but as she soon sees thats not going to happen when everyone calls her by "stiff" and does not think as her as anything else. Why they do that is because everyone has a nickname and some are just worse or better then others.

Tris soon realizes that fitting in does not matter as much compared to love. Four is all she needs to not been seen, not befamous, not be a "Stiff" to be different, to be from Abnegation to be Divergent. She cares deeply about what she believes in. During the book she learns to face her fears even if they kill you and your loved ones. She learns never to give up. At the end she learns not to trust the enemies. On Page 487 " I am no longer Tris, the selfless Tris, or Tris the brave. The quote means Tris is not anything, she is Tris, she is Divergent.

In Divergent, Tris realizes you do not need to fit in to be loved and to be who you are. She appreciates who she is and the people she loves and trusts.
